Daily Routines
The activities that happen at Gumnuts are built around daily routines. Familiar routines help children to settle and feel comfortable in the centre.
These routines are built around the regular events of the day – arrival, snacks/drinks, toileting/nappy change, main meals, washing, sleep/rest and departure – and take into account the developmental needs of individual children, children’s attendance patterns, the climate and physical environment, the numbers and ages of children within a given group, children with special needs, new children entering the group and parents’ expectations.

Meals
Meals form a significant part of the daily routine. All children are required to bring morning and afternoon tea and a packed lunch as we do not provide meals. Water is the drink of choice and we expect that all children bring food that is of a balanced nutritional standard and ask that parents refrain from sending their child with juice or cool drinks, cordials, chocolates, lollies, jelly or any other confectionery.
